SELECTION INFORMATION 2010
Player’s age based on age of player on cutoff dates, Baseball: Apr
30, 2010 & Softball: Dec 31, 2009.
AGE GROUP 4 TO 7 YEARS OLD

No tryouts… |

Will be assigned to a T-Ball team
(4-5-6 yr olds) or coach pitch Farm team (6-7-8 yr olds). |

6 year old may request to play Farm
if player has 1 year experience in T-Ball |
AGE 8-YEAR-OLD
 |
May or may not need to tryout

Players not trying out will be
assigned to a coach pitch Farm team. |
 |
Players that tryout will be eligible
for the minor draft. Player not selected will play in the coach
pitch Farm division. |
AGE GROUP 9 YEARS AND OLDER
 |
Tryouts are required for all players
9 years and older |
 |
Players need to attend 50% of the
tryouts in order to be eligible for the draft. |

NO SHOWS for tryouts:
 |
9-10-11 year olds – Will not be
eligible to be drafted to a Major team. Randomly selected to a
Minor team after the draft selections. Players are in-eligible
to move up to the Major division at a later time unless…note 1 |

12 year olds will not be
eligible to play in the current season and fee refunded based on
refund policy |
 |
Wavier Request: Parent or
guardian may submit a letter to the board as to why player did
not show-up for tryouts. If approved player will be become
eligible for the draft or placed on a team. |

RETURNING MAJOR PLAYERS
 |
Returning players on a Major do not
need to tryout and will remain on the same Major team. |
 |
Player requesting to be release from
a major team must submit a letter of release to the board for
approval. Released player must go to tryouts. If released after
tryout a player will be placed on a waiting list till an open
position in Majors is available. Any refund will be based on the
refund policy. |

TRYOUTS FOR GIRLS SOFTBALL AND JUNIOR BASEBALL
Tryouts will be done during practices…date and times will
be announce |
REFUSAL TO PLAY ON A MAJOR TEAM:
A player who refuses to be drafted to the Majors or request to stay in
the Minors (except for approve wavier) will be ineligible for
post-season All-star play. Player will also be ineligible to move up to
the Majors for the remainder of the regular season. A player in the
minors during the regular playing season who refuses to be moved up to
the Majors will continue to play in the minors but restricted to play
nine defensive outs, may not pitch in any game. Other restriction may
also apply. See player agent or review the By-Laws for complete
restrictions placed on a player for refusal to be place on a team.

Parent of a 12 year old may request
to have player stay down in the minors. Parent must submit letter to
board. After board approval request must then be approve by the
District Administer. Request must be approved to play in the minors
prior to draft or else see refusal to play. If request is disapprove
player must play in the majors. |
PLAYER OPTIONS:
Only manager’s son/dau maybe frozen to a team and brother/sister options
are allowed to keep on same team for Major and Minor divisions. No other
options for Major players will be allowed. Special request for minor
players may be submitted but is not a guarantee to be accepted. Players
are drafted in order to keep teams as equal as possible.
